OK - I'm officially a SearchEngineLand groupie - Just met Josh Dreller of "In the Trenches" - this guy knows search. We're not worthy.:)
Yahoo no longer supports meta keywords tag - they never said anything!
Press release SEO-use images! 15-25% higher CTR. Helps drive blog articles + images last-picked up on image search long after release. Cool
Most ecommerce stores report avg conversion rate of 2%. BUT wide range - Schwans 45.1%, Proflowers 34.1%, for example
A great tool for determining/improving load time on your ecommerce site- http://ping.fm/3W8AD -it matters for indexing of site
Retailers - best practice goals to set for performance of your category pages: Bounce Rate <5%, Exit rate < 5% - Khalid Saleh, Invesp
40% of visitors enter via home page; 60% enter other pages. BUT 60% who land on home leave immediately, only 40% leave content/category pages
